Les Ilets du François

The islets of Lapin, Thierry, Oscar, Métrente, Pelé, Frégate, Lavigne, and Long are scattered throughout François Bay between Les Brisants and the coast. All of them are protected by a biotope preservation order, with the exception of Métrente Islet.

These islets are popular destinations for boat trips, snorkeling, and relaxing on the beaches. A gem that is home to a multitude of rare plant and animal species that contribute to its exceptional ecological richness.
