Come discover a different side of Martinique
The Génipa Mangrove is the largest mangrove forest in Martinique; it covers approximately 1,200 hectares and accounts for 65% of Martinique’s mangrove forests. Although it spans four municipalities (including Rivière-Salée and Les Trois-Ilets), the Génipa mangrove is located primarily in the municipality of Ducos. This mangrove forest is home to a rich biodiversity, notably comprising plant and animal species endemic to Martinique and the Lesser Antilles.
The Génipa Mangrove Forest can be explored by kayak and other types of boats, particularly from Canal Cocotte in Ducos.
