The Bac Bridge is a one-of-a-kind steel structure in Martinique. It is distinguished by its single-span design and a basket-weave-style assembly that ensures its strength.

It provided a route from Grand-Bourg to Petit-Bourg, the two towns in the municipality. It allowed large boats to pass underneath its structure.
