Les Trois-Îlets

Former sugar mill and plantation house

The museum is housed in the former sugar plantation of Joséphine de Beauharnais, the wife of Napoleon Bonaparte and the first Empress of France, who was born in 1763. During your visit, you’ll find Josephine’s personal belongings, historical documents, period furniture, and an exhibition chronicling her life, from her childhood in Martinique to her role in French history.
