Corps de Garde Beach
A sandy beach lined with coconut palms, very popular with locals and tourists alike. It stands out for its picture-perfect waters, picnic areas, and small snack bars where you can grab a bite to eat.
It is located 3 kilometers from the town of Sainte-Luce. To get there, take the N5 coming from Rivière Salée and continue on to Trois-Rivières (do not enter the town). Once you’ve passed Trois-Rivières, at the first roundabout, turn right, then left. Corps de Garde Beach will be a little further on your right, just past Anse Fond Banane.
The beach features a range of amenities: a volleyball net, a seawater pool (the only one in the entire Caribbean), a water sports center offering rentals of kayaks, windsurf boards, Optimist dinghies, catamarans, and more, as well as showers, bars, beach restaurants, and parking.
Anse Corps de Garde is often crowded with both residents of Sainte-Luce and visitors, which makes it quite lively.
Although the beach can accommodate a large number of people, it is spacious enough that you can always find a shady spot under the grape trees or coconut palms.
The water is generally calm, making for a pleasant swimming experience.
The Sainte-Luce City Hall and the tourist office regularly organize events and activities on Corps de Garde Beach, especially on weekends, to entertain visitors.
