Anse Grosse Roche

Martinique loves you. To see for yourself, stop by Anse Grosse Roche, where a heart is naturally formed
in the small rocky outcrop that inspired the name of this beach with its white sand and turquoise waters.

Its fine, white sand stretches along a small cove lined with coconut palms, raisin trees, and cacti. To reach this beach, you’ll need to drive to the parking lot at Cap Macré, about 10 km from downtown. From there, a hiking trail that takes about 20 minutes leads to Anse Grosse Roche. This path winds through lush vegetation and offers spectacular views of the coast. Although swimming is possible, it should be done with caution due to the often strong currents along this stretch of coast.
Be sure to pack everything you need: bring plenty of water, snacks, and sunscreen, as there are no shops or places to eat on site.
