From mainland France, French mobile contracts work as normal in Martinique, at no extra cost and without roaming charges. Calls, text messages and data are included in your usual tariff.

4G network coverage is good in urban areas and along the coast. However, in some remote areas, such as in forests or mountains, coverage may be limited or even non-existent. Remember to download your maps and information in advance.

Most accommodation, restaurants and cafés offer Wi-Fi. For hikes and day trips, we advise you not to rely solely on your mobile data connection.

The mains voltage in Martinique is 220V / 50Hz, the same as in mainland France. The sockets are type E (round sockets with two pins), which are standard in France and across Europe.

Visitors from North America or other countries should bring a mains adapter and, if necessary, a transformer if their appliances are not compatible with 220V.
